These are the words of Dr Scenthole, Nigerian Hiphop sensation and Law student of The University of Lagos in Nigeria. Whenever is opprtune to speak on his type of music.
His official website www.drscenthole.net is his first revelation of the year 2007. His three promo songs; 'Bose je (How e be), Quack Love and Lear from me' are currently enjoying massive air play on top radio stations within and outside Nigeria.
Dr.Scenthole who has six years radio working experience as radio presenter started writing songs proffesionally in 1997 before with some groups called 'Tribe O 3, Hiphop Soldierz' before going sollo in 2001.
Dr Scenthole has been described as a rare gem in today’s Nigeria ’s Music Industry. He is listed among the best contemporary male acts in Nigeria now.
Dr.Scenthole first shot into the limelight when his stunning performance with Mc Spaco & The Poetic Pop Crew at his first ever Benson & Hedges show at Akure in 1999 & 2000 respectively and host of others with commendable Performance which was shown on TV stations across Nigeria. Riding on his success, Dr.Scenthole registered his name as one of the most successful artistes in Nigeria . His first promo singles “Quack Love” (Now remixed) and 'Learn From Me' won him accolade to which led to a serious and aggressive market demanding. And as a result of this, he was awarded 'The Best Hip hop Artiste of the year 2003' in Nigeria courtesy The pioneer Press Organization of Nigeria Awards. He has featured in several venues in Nigeria .
As a professional Radio presenter, Dr.Scenthole understands the need to offer something people can identify with. Thus, his music, “Hip hop/Rap” distinctively blends with African flavour for the listening pleasure of the African and it is further packaged to appeal to the international community so that people from other parts of the world at large can learn from innumerable African Hip hop concepts. This is shown in his follow-up singles in which Yoruba, Pidgin and English Languages were artistically used in delivering the verses, He has collaborated with many other artistes, including his childhood friend Lord Of Ajasa, Ambassador Tunde Akins, Kenny Glorious, son of Highlife legend, Late Wale Glorious and others.
